The program offers an opportunity to study the important social policy issues that lie at the intersection of science, technology, and decision-making and to develop awareness of the social and political factors that condition technology on the social order. The program will be attractive to students anticipating careers in law, administrative sciences, science, engineering, business, and international affairs. The program will serve as a meeting place for those interested in approaching policy questions from the perspective of the physical and biological sciences and for those in the social sciences with an interest in the scientific and technological component of present social, political, and environment problems.
